Sustaining Membership
Sustaining Members are those members who wish to support SAGA beyond their basic Standard Membership dues in order to help provide funds to enhance SAGA's mission. Any person who is interested in the purpose and nurture of SAGA is eligible for Sustaining Membership upon application and by payment of dues.
Benefits for Sustaining Members:
- All benefits of Standard membership
- Custom pin available to Sustaining Members only
- Entry into a drawing for early registration for convention
Sustaining Members are eligible to serve on the board, as a chair, and have voting privileges. $30 of Sustaining Membership fee is tax deductible in the US.
Sustaining Member dues are $65.00/year ($70/year outside the US)
Standard Membership
Any person who is interested in the purpose and nurture of SAGA is eligible for Standard Membership upon application and by payment of dues.
Benefits for Standard Members:
- Participation in all SAGA events, seminars, programs, conventions
- Artisan program participation (additional fee applies)
- SAGA membership pin
- Electronic communications from SAGA
- Access to the "Members Only" portion of the SAGA website
- Membership card (good for discounts from participating SAGA businesses and some other businesses)
- Receipt of SAGANews by USPS
Standard Members are eligible to serve on the board, as a committee chair, and have voting privileges.
Standard Member dues are $35.00/year (United States); $40.00 (outside the US)
Junior Student Membership
A Junior Student Membership is available to a full-time student who is 14-18 years of age on January 1 of the year she wishes to be a SAGA member, upon application and payment of dues. Junior Student Members must be sponsored by an active SAGA member and must furnish proof of age upon application.
Benefits for Junior Student Members:
- Participation in all SAGA events, seminars, programs, and conventions
- Electronic communications from SAGA
- Membership card (good for discounts from participating SAGA business members and some other businesses)
- SAGA membership pin
- Access to most of the "Members Only" section of the SAGA website.
To attend a SAGA event (convention, workshop, or seminar), a Junior Student Member must attend with her SAGA sponsor or other SAGA member. Junior Student Members are ineligible to serve on the board, fill a committee chair responsibility, or vote. No access will be permitted to the online forum for members under 18 years of age. Junior Student Members do not receive the SAGANews via USPS. SAGANews will be available to Junior Student Members on the website.
Junior Student Member dues are $17.50/year.
College Student Membership
College Student Memberships are available to undergraduate college students enrolled full-time, not over the age of 25, with an interest in the purpose of the organization. College Student Members must furnish proof of age and documentation of full-time college status upon application.
Benefits for College Student Members:
- Participation in all SAGA events, seminars, programs, conventions
- Artisan Program participation (additional fee applies)
- Membership card (which is good for discounts from participating SAGA businesses and some other businesses)
- SAGA membership pin
- Electronic communications from SAGA
- Access to the "Members Only" section of the SAGA website
College Student Members are ineligible to serve on the board, fill a committee chair responsibility, or vote. No access will be permitted to the online forum for members under 18 years of age College Student Members do not receive SAGANews via USPS. SAGANews will be available to College Student Members on the website.
College Student Member dues are $20.00/year.
Note: Memberships are renewed each year in January.
Lifetime Membership
Any person who is interested in the purpose and nurture of SAGA is eligible for a Lifetime Membership upon application and by payment of the one-time fee.
Benefits for Lifetime Members:
- All benefits of Standard Membership, for as long as the member lives.
- Custom pin available to Lifetime Members only
- Entry into a drawing for early registration for conventions.
Lifetime Members are eligible to serve on the board, as a committee chair, and have voting privileges.
Lifetime Member one-time dues payment is $1,000.00. $250 of this fee may be tax deductible in the US.
Supporting Membership
Any person who is interested in the purpose and nurture of SAGA is eligible for a SupportingMembership upon application and by payment of the annual dues. Supporting members are not eligible for chapter membership. This category is for friends of SAGA who wish to support the organization financially, but not participate as needleartists.
Benefits for Supporting Membership:
- Membership card, entitling member to discounts at many fabric and needlework shops
- Electronic communications from SAGA
- Invitations to select SAGA events
